I still remember the moment.

My teenage daughter, getting ready for something, stood in front of the mirror and sprayed
perfume all over herself in that generous, unbothered way teenagers do. I walked past, caught the scent, and stopped. It was pure alcohol. Sharp, synthetic, chemical, sitting on my daughter's skin.

And in that instant, a question landed: why aren't we reading the labels on the things we wear on our skin every day?

That question became KBlessential.

18 Years in the Making

For eighteen years, from the day my daughter was born, I'd been blending essentialoils quietly in my kitchen. For family, for friends, for anyone who ever asked,"Kokila, do you have something for…?"

By day, I was a product manager, building and launching products for other people.The two worlds never met.

Until my partner gently pushed me: "You've been doing this for eighteen years. What are you waiting for?"

So I stopped waiting. Within three months, I'd launched: name, logo, regulatory approvals, website, blending, packaging, all of it.

One night my daughter caught me still working at 1am. "Mum, are you a maniac?" she asked.

Maybe. But when you build something out of love, the hours don't drain you. They fuel you.

The Moments Behind the Range

Two moments shaped what KBlessential became.

The first was that moment with my daughter in front of the mirror. It led me to create perfume oils that blend with the wearer's own chemistry, so every woman and every man becomes their own scent. Because they're made with essential oils rather than alcohol, they lift the mood too. Perfume that meets you where you are, and where you want to be.

The second came from watching two women I love. My daughter, reaching for painkillers every month for cramps. My mother, living with rheumatoid arthritis.

From there came our Ayurvedic oils, formulated for menstrual relief, migraines, and muscle and joint pain. A gentler way to care for yourself, every day.

And while almost every turning point in this story circles back to my daughter, my son has quietly benefited from all of it too. His sore muscles after the gym reach for the muscle roll-on. His skin gets the oils. He's also the one who gives me the most honest feedback, and holds up the mirror to me when I need it most.

Why We Do It

I've been a single mother for seven years, raising two children while holding down a demanding corporate career. I've learned, deeply, that if I break, everything around me breaks.

Health was never something I could afford to negotiate.

That's really what KBlessential is: a permission slip we give ourselves, to take care of ourselves, with intention.

We believe wellness should be accessible and luxurious, never compromised by harsh ingredients or high price tags.

Having witnessed the silent toll of synthetic fragrances, the headaches, the skin irritation, the quiet anxiety of not knowing what's on your skin, we set out to change the scent of wellness in Australia. My history teacher once told me, "Treat your body like a temple." Two decades later, I've built an Australian brand to honour that one sentence.
